Community Futures Huron (CFH) is a non-profit Community Futures Development Corporation (CFDC) supported by the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.
CFH has been helping entrepreneurs make their futures in Huron County since 1993. This goal is achieved by providing management counselling, business loans, and support for community projects that strengthen the local economy.
Every year, we at CFH help new businesses get off the ground. Key emerging business opportunities include agriculture, renewable energy, manufacturing, tourism, retail services, and the creative economy.

Announcing the CFHuron Virtual Adviser Program! Does your business need help solving a problem as a result of COVID-19? To further assist Huron County businesses adjusting to the impacts of COVID-19, we have launched the CFHuron Virtual Adviser Program. Powered by Canada’s on-demand Matching Platform, BoomersPlus, this free program will match qualified organizations with an experienced Virtual Adviser to help their business manage and recover from COVID-19. RRRF application deadline extended to June 30, 2021
The Regional Relief and Recovery Fund (RRRF), delivered by Canada’s regional development agencies, provides liquidity support to businesses and not-for-profit organizations affected by the economic impacts of COVID-19, that are unable to access other federal relief measures, or require additional support.
As key partners to FedDev Ontario, southern Ontario CFDCs are delivering over $90 million in relief funding, which has supported nearly 2,000 rural businesses and maintained 6,300 jobs in the region.
