About Community Futures Huron
Community Futures Huron (CFH) is a non-profit Community Futures Development Corporation (CFDC) supported by the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.
CFH has been helping entrepreneurs make their futures in Huron County since 1993. This goal is achieved by providing management counselling, business loans, and support for community projects that strengthen the local economy.
Every year, we at CFH help new businesses get off the ground. Key emerging business opportunities include agriculture, renewable energy, manufacturing, tourism, retail services, and the creative economy.
Did you know, one out of every five people in Huron County is self-employed? Entrepreneurship is what we do, it's who we are. Small business drives our local economy.
Huron County is home to over 6,000 farms and businesses providing opportunities for owners and employees alike in several growth sectors including agri-business, tourism and hospitality, renewable energy, healthcare, and skilled trades.
A unique combination of rural and urban communities located along Ontario's West Coast, Huron County consists of nine townships and municipalities:
