Minister Ng announces launch of Highly Affected Sectors Credit Availability Program
News Release – January 26, 2021 – Ottawa, Ontario Today, the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade, announced the launch of the Highly Affected Sectors Credit Availability Program, or HASCAP. As first outlined in the 2020 Fall Economic Statement, HASCAP will provide financial support to businesses that have been hardest hit by the pandemic. Businesses across Canada continue to feel the effects of the COVID-19 crisis. Province announces new support for small businesses
NEWS RELEASE Dec. 22, 2020 – In an effort to flatten the second COVID-19 wave across Ontario, Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson said the Ontario government is taking the necessary steps to protect Ontarians. “I have spoken with our local medical officers of health as well as our municipal leaders. I appreciate their understanding and support for this action,” said Thompson. FROM HURON COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, Nov. 27, 2020 – Calling all restaurateurs, takeouts, bakeries, cafes, grocers, bars, pubs, brewers, market vendors, and other food retailers! Huron County is excited to collaborate with Dr. Jason Gilliland at Western University to gather perspectives from the retail food industry about the COVID-19 pandemic situation. Government of Canada provides additional Relief Funding to Community Futures Huron
Community Futures Huron News Release Nov. 23, 2020 – Today, Community Futures Huron announces that businesses in the Huron County area may be eligible to benefit from additional relief funding through the Government of Canada’s Regional Relief and Recovery Fund. The Regional Relief and Recovery Fund (RRRF) provides liquidity support to businesses and not-for-profit organizations affected by the economic impacts of COVID-19, that are unable to access other federal relief measures, or require additional support. The Fund, valued at more than $1.5 billion nationally, is delivered by Canada’s regional development agencies.
