    Canada’s COVID-19 Economic Response Plan has helped to protect millions of jobs, provide emergency support to families and keep businesses afloat as they deal with the impact of COVID-19. A central part of this is the Regional Relief and Recovery Fund (RRRF), which helps support those who may not be eligible for other programs. CFDCs across Southern Ontario are providing vital RRRF support through FedDev Ontario to local small businesses impacted by COVID-19. Community Futures Huron has been able to help 82 businesses and helped maintain 256 jobs in Huron County through the RRRF.     Angela Smith, Community Improvement Coordinator for Central Huron invites shoppers to visit downtown Clinton and with help from the RRRF through Community Futures Huron, Clinton stores are now more shoppable and accessible than ever before. The Central Huron Shop-ability Program, funded in-part by the RRRF, is a community-based business project seeking to improve accessibility and provide a safer shopping experience for all.     Destination Huron Recovery Assessment Program, an RRRF community project

    CFHuron is happy to announce that Heather Boa and the Huron Chamber of Commerce will be coordinating the Destination Huron Recovery Assessment Program, an RRRF Community-Based Business Project. With funding provided by Community Futures Huron, FedDev Ontario’s Regional Relief and Recovery Fund, the program will include six participants: Goderich Tourism and Community Development, Central Huron Community Improvement (Clinton), Huron East Economic Development (Brussels), Zurich and Area Chamber of Commerce (Zurich), Blyth BIA, and County of Huron Economic Development.     The Huron Manufacturing Association (HMA) is a strong voice for manufacturing through the promotion of education, networking, celebrating the achievements of our membership.  Recently, the HMA received RRRF support for the Employee Attraction and Retention (EAR) Program through Community Futures Huron.     An update on the RRRF at work in Huron County – A major injection of investment capital, business services and operational funding through the Regional Relief and Recovery Fund has allowed CF Huron to respond quickly to the economic challenges posed by COVID-19. To date, over $1.5 million in COVID-relief loans have been disbursed to Huron County businesses, maintaining 75 enterprises and 242 jobs in the local economy.
