    Province launches new Ontario Tourism and Travel Small Business Support Grant

    May 13, 2021 /

    TORONTO – Applications are open for eligible small businesses in tourism and travel industries. The Ontario government is providing one‐time payments of $10,000 to $20,000 to support eligible small tourism and travel businesses struggling to recover from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic through the new $100-million Ontario Tourism and Travel Small Business Support Grant. The launch of the program was announced today by Lisa MacLeod, Minister of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries. Read more.

    Canada’s COVID-19 Economic Response Plan has helped to protect millions of jobs, provide emergency support to families and keep businesses afloat as they deal with the impact of COVID-19. A central part of this is the Regional Relief and Recovery Fund (RRRF), which helps support those who may not be eligible for other programs. Since May 2020, Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs) have been delivering targeted RRRF support to businesses in their communities.     Destination Huron Recovery Assessment Program, an RRRF community project

    CFHuron is happy to announce that Heather Boa and the Huron Chamber of Commerce will be coordinating the Destination Huron Recovery Assessment Program, an RRRF Community-Based Business Project. With funding provided by Community Futures Huron, FedDev Ontario’s Regional Relief and Recovery Fund, the program will include six participants: Goderich Tourism and Community Development, Central Huron Community Improvement (Clinton), Huron East Economic Development (Brussels), Zurich and Area Chamber of Commerce (Zurich), Blyth BIA, and County of Huron Economic Development.     Applications now open for Ontario’s Small Business Support Grant

    NEWS RELEASE – The Ontario government has opened  applications for the new Ontario Small Business Support Grant. The grant, first announced in December, provides a minimum of $10,000 to a maximum of $20,000 to eligible small businesses who have had to restrict their operations due to the Provincewide Shutdown.
