Destination Huron Recovery Assessment Program, an RRRF community project
CFHuron is happy to announce that Heather Boa and the Huron Chamber of Commerce will be coordinating the Destination Huron Recovery Assessment Program, an RRRF Community-Based Business Project. With funding provided by Community Futures Huron, FedDev Ontario’s Regional Relief and Recovery Fund, the program will include six participants: Goderich Tourism and Community Development, Central Huron Community Improvement (Clinton), Huron East Economic Development (Brussels), Zurich and Area Chamber of Commerce (Zurich), Blyth BIA, and County of Huron Economic Development. We’d like to introduce Joyce Lappin, owner of Hair By Joyce located in Hensall, Ontario and one of our hard-working and friendly RRRF clients. Since 1982, Joyce has provided her clients with professional hair styling services. Her clients know what they want and appreciate the results of a skilled hair cutter. When Joyce was unable to access other COVID-19 business relief programs for her salon business, she reached out to Community Futures Huron. Naturally Bongins plans for the future with RRRF help
Small businesses are at the heart of our economy and are vital to our communities; the Regional Relief and Recovery Fund, offered through Community Futures Huron, is in place to help Huron County businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Naturally Bongins, located in Wingham, Ontario is co-owned by Bill George and Ashley Vander Velden. In 2018 they had the idea of the ultimate stash box, giving legal cannabis enthusiasts peace of mind that they are being responsible for keeping accessories locked up and stored away from their children and pets.
